VPK Voluntary Pre-kindergarten
Must have a VPK certificate from CDS (Child Development Services) Available at the South Dade Government Center, 10710 SW 211 Street;

Kindergarten and all other students new to Miami-Dade County Public Schools will need the following before attending class:
- Original Birth Certificate or legal proof of name of Student
- Health and Immunization Forms
- 2 Forms of Proof of current residency
- Photo ID of Parent/Guardian
Transfers from current Miami-Dade County Schools
Parent or legal guardian must present a valid withdrawal slip from sending school and proof of residency in the parent or legal guardian’s name.

Can I Ride a Bus?: This application allows users to determine transportation eligibility based on their address. In addition, it provides directions & walk distance for students that are not eligible. Students that are eligible will be provided confirmation of their eligibility based on being over 2 miles and within the school boundary
